The Christian Women's Center began with a vision that God entrusted to a faithful, obedient servant. Under her leadership and with the help of a few close friends and supporters, the vision was realized in 1983. The ministry was housed on 5 acres of land in rural Sunny Side, Georgia, until the facility was damaged by a tornado in the spring of 2011. Plans are currently underway to rebuild the Sunny Side facility. All services are provided at no cost to the resident.
The Christian Women's Center operates by sharing the love of Christ to bring transformation into the lives of the residents. The shelter is designed to provide a safe haven for women and their children from crisis situations. All services are provided at no cost to the resident. The Christian Women's Center relies on the faithful support of churches, businesses and the community. Three major fund raising projects are held each year. The Christian Women's Center provides a temporary shelter for women and their children.
